Policies and Procedures
- A deposit of $50 is required to schedule a photo session. Due to limited session days and times the deposit is non-refundable. If you cannot make it to the scheduled session, please let us know in advance so we can schedule the session for another open day/time. This way you won’t loose the deposit.
- The remainder of the session fee is due the day of the session and prior to any photos taken. We accept only cash or check at that time. There is a $50 returned check fee.

If you or your loved one is sick or appears to be getting sick, please contact us 24 hours in advance to reschedule. Do not come to the session if you are feeling sick children; please understand, we work in our home and try to cut down on exposure to sicknesses the best we can. We will return the favor.

On-line gallery will be available approximately five to seven days after session date. A password protected gallery is available upon request.

Print order must be placed within 10 days of on-line gallery presentation. Your gallery will automatically expire, and you will be charged a $20 republish fee if you have not placed your order.

All unordered images will be purged (deleted). Images that are ordered will be archived and remain on file for one year. Please keep in mind that we do our best to retain your precious photos for an even longer time. We do this so that in case your ordered photos get misplaced or damaged, that you will have a way to re-print if needed.

When placing your order, if you are having any problems understanding the ordering platform (online shopping cart), please feel free to call to receive help in placing your online order.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email that the order was approved by Scott Russell Photography. This email will include a link to your order status. Once the order is processed and printed it will be shipped direct to the address given during the order process.

All images and products are to be inspected by you at delivery. If there are any discrepancies or problems, please contact Scott Russell Photography within seven days of delivery to discuss.

Due to the custom nature of the products, all sales are final.

Copyright Policy: All images are copyrighted by photographer, Scott Russell. It is illegal and unlawful to scan, copy, print, or reproduce Scott’s work in any manner or medium without written permission (you may only print the images if digital negatives/files are purchased with an unlimited personal use license agreement).

Scott Russell reserves the right to use images taken for reproductions for display, publication, and other purposes to promote his business.

What does my session fee include? Your session fee includes time and talent of the photographer, use of indoor studio, travel to and from on-location site and basic image retouching post session. Typical sessions will yield 25-30 photos to view and proof; all chosen print photos will be fully retouched and prepped for print. Remember, you are working with a custom photographer; unlike department stores and photography chains, you are getting individual attention and the ability to customize your session to fit your needs.

Do you “touch up” images? Yes. Small scars or blemishes may be touched up when requested. Light skin smoothing techniques may also be used. Small touch-ups of this nature are not an additional fee, however, please note when placing your order what light touch-ups you would like to have done (these may get noted directly in the ordering process). It is your responsibility to note touch-ups you wish to have done BEFORE order is placed. Touch-ups that go beyond “light” are at an additional fee if they can be performed.

Do you shoot digitally or with film? We shoot all digital only using high quality Nikon equipment. We do not limit the amount of images that we take. We take what is needed in order to be able to present you with at least 5-20 final, re-touched, print ready images. A typical photo session will usually yield around 25 to 30 proof ready images.

Do you shoot in black and white or color? We shoot all in color and then convert images to black and white using a special process that appears more like black and white film. This allows you to choose color or black and white for any image.

May I purchase the digital negatives? Yes, high resolution digital negatives or digital files are available for purchase. Please contact me for our complete price list for prints and digital files. Also, depending on your session type, you may receive up to 3 web ready, watermarked images that you may display on social networking sites like Facebook or Myspace or to email to friends and family. Please keep in mind that all photos and digital files are copy-written material by Scott Russell.
