I’m digging. I dig the built in short link service. I love that he ended it with “Straight No Chaser”. One of my favorite songs.

Is Prophoto 3.1 taking advantage of the new API’s?

ScottJune 24, 2010 - 2:08 PM

Thomas, Yes there are some really nice features in the new WP. Nicely done video as well.

As far as ProPhoto using all the new API’s… well I don’t think it is because the custom menu feature is still handled by the theme and not WP itself. Hopefully PP will include some of these in the next revision.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 – Content-Aware Fill

One of the new features of Adobe Photoshop CS5 is the addition of Content-Aware to the Fill dialog box. This a an awesome new feature and makes cleaning up areas in photograph really easy. Plus, it does a really nice job. But while testing this new feature in the CS5 prerelease beta I found that...

Thanks for the tip, I’ve been searching for the whole day for a solution to this! I just tried, but for some reason the Shift-Delete does not work. It has the same effect as a simple delete… I am wondering, is there something I did not catch?

ScottMay 4, 2010 - 12:03 PM

Interesting… I’m still using the CS5 beta. Are you using the release version? I’ve yet to install the release version as it’s on my todo list!! :) I’ll have to check this out and let you know what I find. Thanks for the feedback!

Criss.ACMay 4, 2010 - 2:03 PM

Yes, mine is the final release (v12.0), CS5 Extended. I am running the x64 version, wonder if that affects this trick?

ScottMay 4, 2010 - 3:10 PM

You never know… It’s possible. I’ll have to install the final release and check it out myself. I’ll post back here with my results!

Criss.ACMay 4, 2010 - 3:37 PM

OK Scott, thanks! I’ll follow up then.

ScottMay 11, 2010 - 2:44 PM

I’ve finally installed the release version of Adobe CS5 (standard edition) and using the Shift+Del key still works to bring up Content-Aware Fill on duplicate layers.

Lucas PrimMay 16, 2010 - 12:52 PM

Thanks a lot! I was getting crazy trying to get content-aware fill with the Del key!

ScottMay 18, 2010 - 7:24 PM

Glad it helped!!

JoeJuly 20, 2010 - 3:31 PM

I finally bring up the “content aware” options. A little circle appears and then the selected image disappears from the screen and only the background with the grid shows. What am I doing wrong? THANKS. Please help.

Street Performers

We took a little day trip down to St. Augustine, one of our favorite places to hang out for the day. There were a couple street performers and so I snapped a few shots. The dad and son were collecting money for Haiti. I don’t remember their names (sorry, senior moment) but the boy could...
